Game Rules & Terms
These Game Rules & Terms apply when you participate in drawing matches, challenges, voting, and other competitive or community features in Drawing Battles. By participating, you agree to follow these rules.
-
Drawing Matches
Drawing matches are creative competitions between players.
Each match has a drawing prompt and a limited drawing time between 2 and 9 minutes. You should create your drawing during the match using the drawing tools provided by the app.
Drawing prompts are selected randomly from the prompts available for the match. Prompt complexity depends in part on player rating, so more experienced players may receive more challenging prompts.
When possible, we also try to provide prompts that you have not recently encountered. However, a unique prompt cannot always be guaranteed.
You may influence certain matchmaking preferences from the app, including preferred drawing time and prompt categories. We take these preferences into account when finding a match, but they do not guarantee a particular drawing time, category, or prompt.
Your drawing should reasonably relate to the given prompt. Creative and unexpected interpretations of a prompt are welcome.
-
Voting and Match Results
Match results are normally determined by votes from other Drawing Battles users.
Art is subjective. Different voters may prefer different styles, ideas, techniques, interpretations, or levels of detail. Because of this, voting results may not always match your expectations and should not be treated as an objective measurement of artistic skill.
Voters are not selected completely at random. We may consider factors including a user's voting score, rating, experience, and voting history when selecting voters for a match.
As a player's rating grows, we generally try to assign more experienced and reliable voters. This is intended to improve voting quality for higher-level competition, but it cannot guarantee that every individual voting result will feel fair or accurate.
A minimum number of votes may be required before a match result can be determined.
AI Voting
AI-assisted voting may be used for a match only when both participants have agreed to allow it.
If both participants have not agreed to AI voting, AI voting will not be used to determine the match result.
We may adjust voter-selection methods, voting requirements, scoring methods, and other parts of the voting system over time to improve reliability, competitive balance, and resistance to manipulation.
-
Fair Play
Players must compete fairly.
You may not:
- Submit artwork created by someone else.
- Copy or trace another artwork when doing so gives you an unfair advantage.
- Use external drawing tools, software, AI-generated images, or other outside assistance to create your match drawing unless a game mode explicitly allows it.
- Manipulate voting or coordinate votes in order to influence match results.
- Use multiple accounts to influence matches, ratings, rankings, rewards, or voting.
- Intentionally exploit bugs or technical problems to gain an unfair advantage.
Violations may result in a drawing being disqualified, match results being corrected, rewards being removed, ratings being adjusted, or restrictions being placed on your account.
-
Text in Drawings
Small amounts of text are allowed when they are naturally part of the artwork. For example, text may be used on signs, labels, objects, speech bubbles, or as another element of the illustration.
However, drawings should primarily be drawings. Excessive text, long messages, explanations, requests for votes, or other text primarily intended to influence voters may result in disqualification.
-
Inappropriate Content
Do not submit content that is seriously offensive, threatening, hateful, sexually explicit, exploitative, or otherwise inappropriate for the Drawing Battles community.
Context matters. Artistic, humorous, educational, historical, fictional, or symbolic depictions are not automatically prohibited simply because they contain sensitive themes.
We may remove or restrict content when we reasonably believe it violates these rules or creates a significant risk to other users.
-
Reports, Voting Reviews and Moderation
Players can report drawings, messages, usernames, or other content they believe violates the rules.
A report does not automatically mean that the reported player has broken a rule.
Unfair Voting Reports
Because artistic voting is subjective, an unexpected or disappointing result is not by itself evidence that voting was unfair.
However, if you believe the voting in one of your matches was particularly unfair or abnormal, you may submit a report for review.
We may review the drawings, votes, voters, participants, and other relevant information associated with the match.
If we determine that the result was significantly affected by inappropriate, manipulated, or clearly unreliable voting, we may take corrective action, including refunding rating points lost from the match.
Submitting a report does not guarantee that the result will be changed or that rating points will be refunded.
Moderation Actions
We may review reported content manually or using automated systems. Depending on the situation, we may:
- Take no action.
- Remove or hide content.
- Disqualify a drawing.
- Correct a match result or rating change.
- Restrict communication or other features.
- Temporarily suspend an account.
- Permanently restrict an account in serious or repeated cases.
Moderation decisions can sometimes be imperfect. If you believe an action was taken incorrectly, you may contact us.
-
Respect Other Players
Drawing Battles is competitive, but players should treat each other respectfully.
Do not harass, threaten, bully, or deliberately insult other players.
Disagreeing with a vote, losing a match, or receiving criticism does not justify abusive behavior toward other users.
-
Ratings, Rankings and Rewards
Some game modes may award ratings, rankings, points, achievements, virtual rewards, or other benefits.
These systems are part of the game and may be adjusted over time to improve balance, fairness, competition, or gameplay.
We may correct ratings, results, rewards, or rankings when they were affected by bugs, cheating, voting manipulation, disqualification, technical errors, or other circumstances that produced an incorrect result.
-
Your Drawings
You keep ownership of the original artwork you create.
By submitting a drawing to Drawing Battles, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, display, reproduce, and share the drawing as necessary to operate and promote Drawing Battles.
Your drawing may, for example, appear in:
- Drawing matches and voting.
- Your profile or gallery.
- Daily Challenges and challenge results.
- Rankings and other competitive features.
- Community galleries.
- Drawing Battles promotional materials or social media.
This license does not transfer ownership of your artwork to us.
Where applicable, you may delete drawings or your account using the options provided by the app. Some copies may remain temporarily in backups, moderation records, or other systems where retention is reasonably necessary.
More information about storage, retention, and personal data is available in our Privacy Policy.
-
Accounts
You are responsible for activity performed through your account.
Do not sell, transfer, or intentionally share an account for the purpose of manipulating competition, ratings, rankings, rewards, voting, or restrictions.
Creating additional accounts to evade moderation or gain an unfair competitive advantage is prohibited.
Certain account or social features may have age requirements. Information about age-related restrictions and children's privacy is provided in our Privacy Policy.
-
Technical Problems
Internet connections, devices, servers, or software may occasionally fail.
A drawing, vote, match, reward, or result may sometimes be lost, delayed, duplicated, interrupted, or incorrectly processed because of a technical problem.
Where reasonably possible, we may correct affected results, but we cannot guarantee that every interrupted match, failed upload, vote, or lost drawing can be restored.
-
Changes to the Game and These Rules
Drawing Battles is continuously developed.
We may add, remove, or modify game modes, matchmaking systems, prompts, voting systems, ratings, rankings, rewards, drawing tools, limits, or other features.
We may also update these Game Rules & Terms when necessary. We will publish the revised version on this page and update the effective date.
Where appropriate or required, significant changes may also be communicated through the app or by other reasonable means.
Continued participation after updated terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms where permitted by applicable law.
-

Our collection, storage, processing, and use of personal information is described separately in our Privacy Policy.
Please review the Privacy Policy to understand what information we collect, why we collect it, how long it may be retained, and what rights or choices may be available to you.
